About YES2009

The Youth Engagement Summit is an initiative organised by Regional Publisher and advertising veteran Harmandar Singh of Sledgehammer Communications (M) Sdn Bhd (www.adoimagazine.com). It is driven and supported by its key partners Youth Asia (www.youthasia.com) and The London Speaker Bureau Southeast Asia (www.londonspeakerbureau.co.uk).

Themed, 'Southeast Asia for Change' or 'SEACHANGE' the movement is driven by the SEACHANGE Youth Report involving over 200 million Southeast Asian youths in a report that will culminate to bringing over 500 youths to the YES2009 Summit in Kuala Lumpur this November.

The Youth Engagement Summit, also known as 'YES' brings together leading Global Change Icons, luminaries such as founder of LiveAid Sir Bob Geldof, Twitter co-founder Biz Stone, Facebook's Director of Market Development Randi Zuckerberg, Bollywood Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, Former World Chess Champion Garry Kasparov, World Bank's former MD Dr.Mamphela Ramphele, the Man known as the Ultimate survivor Nando Parrado, noted former presenter for CNN and CNBC Lorraine Hahn and many more.

This movement is about the Youth of Southeast Asia. And it is a honest discourse on the inspiration that is Obama.

Everybody needs a hero. And they are expressing their aspirations, hopes, fears, tears, ideas and lives with him and to the other illustrious agents of change on this website. This online destination is a tale of love, affection and imagination for real change.

This movement is apolitical, non-religious and as one youth put it eloquently aprotocol!
