RAECP is a Hanoi based voluntary organization with the aim to gather human resources to prevent climate change and improve local environment. RAECP focuses on educational activities which helps raising awareness of citizens, especially youth. These activities including: gathering and writing educational materials, offering training courses, organizing conferences. The mentees of the previous courses will be the mentors in the future courses, this model helps spreading knowledge. RAECP also aims to be an intermediate, a connection among bodies and individuals working for a green planet.
The highest aim of RAECP is to contribute to tackle the environmental issue in Vietnam and in Hanoi particularly as well as prevent both climate change and global warming with society. In other words, RAECP is ready to take part in any activities, which share the same objective, benefit as above.
The specific methods to achieve the goal include activities:
1. Gathering, editing and popularizing general documents about environment and climate change: books, newspapers, documentary films, pictures, posters, etc. Concentrating mainly on both educational and communicating materials, limiting deeply academic and professional ones. Using them to lecture in classes, as well as propagandize in public, employing them as documents propagandizing about environment by lecturers. Distributing materials, updating reports on environment and climate change.
2. Carrying out training “pioneer lecturers” who will lecture on environment and climate change. Training trainees who not only have wide, good knowledge of environment and climate change( in 3 aspects: reasons, situations, solutions) but also have skills of teaching, presenting and persuading ( in semiprofessional level), as well as stay, continue training the later training courses, and join in educational, communicating public activities or other projects/ activities about environment.
3. Organizing the activities of propagandizing, educating on environment and climate change together with seminars, talks, propagandas, lectures, presentations…held by Program’s members, activity teams in schools, offices. |
